Tar Heel, NC - Bladenboro Middle School’s girls basketball team punched their ticket to the championship game of the Bladen County Schools Girls Middle School Basketball Tournament with a hard-fought 21-12 victory over Clarkton in Monday’s semi-final matchup.
The Lady Bulldogs leaned on a strong defensive effort and timely scoring to secure the win.
Adyson Carroll led the way for Bladenboro with a game-high 13 points, providing a consistent offensive spark for the Lady Bulldogs. Hadley Dove and Liz Miller each added 2 points, while Logan Powers also chipped in 2 to round out the scoring.
Clarkton battled throughout the game, with Kynzlee Wood scoring 4 points to lead the Lady Blue Devils. Zoey Graham added 3 points, while Kynslie Kinlaw, Kaydence Moretz, and Aliah Jacobs combined for the rest of the scoring.
With the win, Bladenboro moves on to face Elizabethtown for the county championship on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
