East Bladen Softball Rolls Past Clinton in 17-1 Victory

Clinton, NC - East Bladen Softball continued its strong push toward the end of the regular season with a dominant 17-1 win over Clinton, improving to 8-7 overall and keeping their Waccamaw Conference record at 6-6.


The Lady Eagles wasted no time setting the tone offensively. Martha Simmons sparked the lineup with a single and drove in three runs, helping to build early momentum.


Tatum Allen provided a steady presence at the plate, scoring three times while collecting a single, a double, and a walk to keep pressure on Clinton’s defense.


Niyah Wooten was electric, reaching base consistently and crossing the plate four times. Wooten tallied three singles, knocked in three runs, and added a walk to cap an outstanding offensive day.


Jamie Perkins also contributed by stepping into the lineup for a plate appearance, helping maintain the team's depth.


Jenna Brice kept the offense rolling, scoring two runs and adding a key single to the effort, while Taylor Dowless chipped in with a single, an RBI, a run scored, and a walk, further fueling the offensive outburst.


Gracie Edwards made an impact both offensively and on the mound. At the plate, Edwards collected two singles, drove in three runs, and scored once.


Gabriella Bray added to the scoring surge with a single and an RBI, keeping the East Bladen lineup turning over with production from top to bottom.


Mollie Tolar rounded out the offensive fireworks by scoring three times, collecting a single and a triple, and drawing a walk, adding another spark to the Lady Eagles' big day.


In the circle, Gracie Edwards turned in another strong performance.


Pitching all five innings, Edwards allowed just four hits and one unearned run. She struck out five and walked only two, controlling the game from start to finish and keeping Clinton from mounting any threat.


With the win, East Bladen builds momentum heading into the final stretch of the regular season, showing depth throughout the lineup and sharpness both at the plate and in the field.


East Bladen will host East Duplin on Wednesday.
