Emereau Tops Clarkton 14-8 in Middle School Softball Matchup

Elizabethtown, NC - The Emereau Charter School Aviators picked up a strong 14-8 victory over Clarkton School of Discovery on Wednesday afternoon at Bladen County Park.
The win evens Emereau’s season record at 2-2, while Clarkton shows promise with a competitive offensive outing.
Emereau’s offense was firing on all cylinders, with every batter contributing in key ways throughout the game.
Angelina Jones led the Aviators’ charge at the plate with a standout performance, scoring four runs while racking up a double, a triple, and a home run. Her power and speed helped set the tone for the Emereau lineup.
Sierra Thompson had a well-rounded game, crossing the plate three times and delivering a single, a double, and a walk. Chloe Merritt added two runs of her own, reaching base three times with a single and two walks, showing great patience and consistency at the plate.
Mollie Sasser also had a strong offensive game, collecting two singles and scoring twice. She was equally impressive in the circle, pitching a complete game with seven solid innings and recording nine strikeouts to anchor the defense.
Mackynzee Thompson provided steady production, going 2-for-2 with two singles, two walks, and one run scored. Khloe Campbell chipped in with a single and a walk, while Julianna Autry scored a run and drew a walk in a disciplined plate appearance.
Rylee added a key double and came around to score, and Harper Allen showcased her speed with a well-hit triple.
On the Clarkton side, the Blue Devils battled from start to finish and had several standout performances of their own. Camryn led the way offensively with a pair of singles, a double, and two runs scored.
Neveah added two more runs and reached base twice with a single and a walk, helping keep the Clarkton offense moving.
KK contributed a pair of singles and scored once, while Ronnae also tallied two singles and crossed the plate for a run. Kynzlee got the scoring started early with a run and a single, while Khloey showed great plate discipline by drawing two walks and scoring once. Isabel added a single to round out the offensive effort.
Kynzlee started in the circle for Clarkton and helped keep the game close early before Emereau pulled away in the middle innings.
Both teams showed great effort, sportsmanship, and promise as the season continues.
Emereau will hit the road Monday for a matchup with Sampson Middle School, while Clarkton will return home to host Nakina.
