JV Girls Basketball: West Bladen 29, East Columbus 27

BLADENBORO, NC — Hadley Dove poured in 16 points Tuesday to lead unbeaten West Bladen to a 29-27 non-conference JV girls’ basketball victory over East Columbus Tuesday.
The Lady Knights, now 3-0, will travel to East Bladen Tuesday.
Logan Powers tossed in a basket and a free throw in the opening period for West, and Serenity Council added a basket to keep the Lady Knights within 6-5. Dove blistered the nets with 4 baskets in the 2nd quarter as West rallied to tie the game 13-13.
Lauryn Lesane and Zir’rihana White pumped in baskets in the 3rd period for West but East took a 19-17 lead.
Dove sparked a 12-8 closing run for the Lady Knights with 4 more baskets. Kynzlee Wood and Lesane rang up a basket each as West pulled out the victory.
Lesane finished with 4 points for West. Angel Webb led East with 11 points, and Aureya Young posted 8 points.
East Columbus (27) –Yvonne Johnson 4, Ashlee McFadden, Jenna Butler, Grace Williamson 4, Aureya Young 8, Sadie Brown, Angel Webb 11.
West Bladen (29) -Abigail Dew, Damonyque Blackwell, Lauryn Lesane 4, Kynzlee Wood 2, Logan Powers 3, Zir’rihana White 2, Hadley Dove 16, Serenity Council 2.
