Clinton, NC - The West Bladen Lady Knights continued their hot streak Tuesday night, cruising to a 9-1 road win over Clinton.

The victory marked West Bladen’s fifth win in their last six outings, bringing their overall record to 5-5 and improving their Southeastern Athletic Conference (SAC 6) mark to 2-1.

Marlene Crabtree took control in the circle, pitching a complete game and scattering just five hits over seven innings. She allowed only one earned run, walked one, and struck out three, keeping Clinton’s bats quiet all evening.

But Crabtree wasn’t done there—she helped her own cause at the plate with a clutch base hit that brought home two RBIs.

The Knights’ offense was steady and relentless. Kali Allen sparked the lineup, reaching base multiple times and coming around to score twice. Her bat stayed hot with a single, a double, and an RBI to her name.

Not far behind her was Addison Wilcox, who also crossed the plate twice and added a double, two RBIs, and a stolen base to her busy stat line.

Holland Davis delivered one of the biggest hits of the game—a sharply-hit triple that drove in a run and added another tally to her own scorecard. Kallie Bass brought energy as well, contributing a double, an RBI, a stolen base, and scoring once.

Natalie Sykes and Marlie Walters kept the momentum going, each adding a single to the Knights’ hit parade. Sykes picked up an RBI, while Walters notched a stolen base and crossed the plate herself.

Lauren Douglas and Allison Hickman added to the pressure on Clinton’s defense with smart baserunning; both scored a run and swiped a base apiece.

The Knights showed their depth with contributions from top to bottom of the lineup.

Though not all were reflected in the scorebook, players like Abigail Dew, Breena Hester, Karlee Gause, and Jahyrah Priest provided solid at-bats and sharp defense that helped keep the team’s rhythm steady.

West Bladen now turns its attention to a rematch with Clinton, this time on their home field Friday.

With momentum building and confidence growing, the Knights look to keep the wins coming as they push deeper into SAC 6 play.
