East Bladen Golf Competes in 1A East Regional

Goldsboro, NC – I am incredibly proud of our team this year. It is bittersweet to share that we played our last match this season at the State Regionals on May 5th at Lane Tree Golf Course in Goldsboro.

Despite the challenges, our team demonstrated exceptional skill and determination.

We were the 8th place team out of 10, a commendable achievement given the competition.

Our team members finished as follows:

• Rex Register shot his lowest score and his personal best with a score of 88, finishing 19th out of 65.

• Dayton Wilson shot a score of 91, finishing tied for 26th out of 65.

• Dawson Wright shot a score of 91, finishing tied for 26th out of 65.

• Conner Smith shot a score of 94, finishing 28th out of 65.

• Henry Simmons shot a score of 112, finishing 60th out of 65.

Each member of our team has shown remarkable improvement and dedication throughout the season.

Henry Simmons, Gabriel Wright, and Connor Smith were Waccamaw All-Conference. Dayton Wilson was an Honorable Mention.

I also want to thank Jamere Anders and Malikia McKoy for being our managers and played a vital role with our team.

I look forward to seeing what we will accomplish together in the future. Thank you for your support and encouragement.
