Bladenboro, NC - Bladenboro Middle School faced a tough Central Middle squad on Monday, falling 10-0, but the team continues to show promise in the early-season matchup, now holding a 1-1 record.
Maycee Kinlaw took the mound for Bladenboro, staying composed through challenging innings. She also helped at the plate with a single.
Adyson Carroll added a base hit of her own, and Kristen Singletary gave Bladenboro a spark with a well-hit double.
Kylee Davenport worked a walk, showing good discipline at the plate.
Though the offense struggled to find rhythm, players like Kaylee Fisher, Carley Rhodes, Hadley Dove, Carley Rhodes, and Becca Arnold continued to compete.
Defensive errors proved costly, but the experience gained will serve the team as they move forward.
Bladenboro will play Elizabethtown on Wednesday.
