BLADENBORO, NC — It’s become more than just a winning streak at Bladenboro Middle School, it’s a legacy.

The girls have now won 27 straight games dating back to 2022, while the boys extended their own streak to 16 consecutive victories, remaining undefeated for a second straight year.

The Lady Bulldogs added another statement win to their historic streak, blanking Nakina 4–0.

Ady Carroll was nearly unstoppable, finding the back of the net four times in a commanding individual performance.

Camarri Covington, Sabria Cobb, and Ashley Santos each tallied assists, while goalkeeper Caity McLaurin even earned an assist of her own, launching a punt that bounced all the way through for a goal on the other end.

Head Coach Mike Dove couldn’t help but reflect on the group’s growth.

“This has been a very special group of 8th graders that have grown into tremendous soccer players over the last three years,” Dove said. “I am very proud of each of them and the attitude and effort they’ve displayed. I’m very excited for our future as well — we have some great 6th and 7th graders coming back next season!”

Oxciel Campos set up Keithan Russ for the opening goal, then Russ struck again with a header to double the lead. Later, Russ flipped roles, delivering an assist to Tyler Thurman, who finished to seal the victory.

The Bulldogs’ defense has been just as impressive, recording another clean sheet while extending a run that now stretches across two undefeated seasons.
