East Bladen Golf Finishes Second at Diamondback

White Lake, NC – The East Bladen Eagles golf team turned in a solid performance Monday at Diamondback Golf Club, finishing second overall in a competitive field.
With a team score of 378, the Eagles trailed only South Columbus, who led the day with a 368. Whiteville followed with a 394, while East Columbus and Heide Trask did not post complete scores.
Leading the charge for East Bladen was sophomore Dawson Wright, whose consistent play and composed approach led him to an impressive round of 89.
Senior Connor Smith followed closely behind, carding a 90. Smith’s experience was evident as he navigated the course with confidence, keeping the team grounded.
Freshman Dayton Wilson Jr. stepped up in a big way, finishing his round with a 97.
Sophomore Henry Simmons posted a 102, grinding through the back nine with determination.
Rounding out the team was Dylan Register, also a sophomore, who finished with a 108.
East Bladen will return to action on Monday, April 7th, when they travel to Vineyard Golf at White Lake.
With a strong showing behind them and momentum on their side, the Eagles will look to continue climbing the leaderboard as the season progresses.
