East Bladen Track & Field Shined at Heide Trask Meet

Emereau Middle School team on the field

Rocky Point, NC - The East Bladen track & field team shined in an outstanding performance at the meet in Heide Trask Senior High School in Rocky Point, NC, showcasing their speed, endurance, and teamwork in multiple events.


Leading the charge on the boys’ side, Chace Butler dominated the 200-meter dash, securing first place with an impressive time of 23.18 seconds.


Not to be outdone, Dominick Collins raced his way to victory in the 400-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 54.28 seconds.


The boys' relay teams also put on a strong showing, with the 4x400 squad claiming first place with a time of 3:55, while the 4x800 team fought hard to earn a second-place finish at 9:45.


On the girls' side, Kamariah Rhodi demonstrated her speed in the 400-meter dash, earning second place with a time of 1:11.


Zariyah Hammonds displayed endurance and determination in the 1600-meter run, taking first place with a time of 6:59.


In the hurdles, Laila Smith showcased her skill and agility, winning the 100-meter hurdles event with a swift 17.32 seconds.


The girls’ 4x200 relay team also delivered a standout performance, racing to first place with a time of 1:56.


East Bladen’s athletes continue to prove their talent and dedication, bringing home top finishes.


The Eagles will look to continue to find success on Saturday at Union Pines.
